Website Crash
PLEASE EXCUSE PAGES AND IMAGES MISSING FROM THE WEBSITE. Don't know if anyone still comes to my sites anymore beings they've been down
for the past two monthes! My hosting provider, www.vizaweb.com
packed up and left. My websites went down, support never answered, and then I had to go through
a ball busting amount of work to get my domains back.
Luckily, we were once again able to save Kumite Kid from being took by a hosting company. Word of
advice... don't get hosting under Viza Web or iPowerweb. Both of these hosting companies have
screwed a loyal customer over on multiple occassions. I'm just glad to have my sites back
online once again.
Website Update
Just updating the website for the first time this year. I would like to wish all visitors a late happy new year! I've gotten that contact form page up, and that's about it! The past 4 months have been pretty dead in karate related news right now. Here's a trailer for the Street Fighter movie coming out soon:
Personally, I'm more a Mortal Kombat fan, and there's not much news for a third film coming out for that right now!
Kata Videos
The videos I mentioned in my last post are now up, here they are!
Tournament Pics, Video, and New Pages
This weekend I competed in the Laurel State Karate Championship, which would be my Sensei's tournament that is held twice a year. I competed in weapons (1st place) and kata (3rd place).

This was my first tournament as a black belt. I've been to so many in the past
but lately I haven't been going to much tournaments, I've been to enough already! I judged
some divisions and then competed.
Overall enjoyable but I've had a headache all day afterwards, I guess it comes after
being in a noisy small gymnasium for over 3 hours. I was a bit dissapointed getting 3rd
in weapons, but I have the full kata on video so any visitors can judge for themself.
My kata was Chinte, a very unique Shotokan kata that is rarely done at tournaments. I Can't
see myself doing this same kata at the next tournament I am going to in New Kensington for the
P.K.R.A tournament.
Weapons Galore
Got a few more pages up, including the Shotokan belt system, Intro to Kobudo, the Sai,
and The Bo Staff. The weapons pages include some diagrams I made in Photoshop with the
parts of the weapons labeled!
Anyway, I have really been digging for some different Sai katas to learn. Lately,
I have also been doing some block and counter/5 step techniques with weapons. I found
this awesome video last night:
Keep checking back as I am making an effort to get the rest of the pages up. I have been meaning to change the ugly footer on the bottom
of the site, too! The link's don't even work.
For those interested, I have also been working on another website for
Larimer Firehall. It's about time
I get that one updated!
Website Updated
I have been working on a new design for this website for a while and finally came around
to changing it! I hope that you find my website easier to navigate and more resourceful
than it was before. I like this layout much better!
Please excuse the weapons pages along with a few other pages, as they are still being wrote
at this moment. In the meantime, you can check out the following new pages:
Check back later, as soon I will be adding 13 more pages to the website, including a page on tournament tips for people who are tournament goers. Along with this, I will be adding diagrams for all the weapons as well. So make sure you check back soon!
Black Belt Test
Whoever thinks a black belt test in a Shotokan school is glady mistaken! I finally tested
for my black belt
and recieved it, but I can assure it you was the most physcially demanding
thing I have ever done in my life. Monthes later and my knuckles are still purple.
